Mr Qureishi qualified in medicine at the University of London in 2009. By 2014, he had been appointed to the National Institute of Health Research academic clinical fellowship programme, based at the University of Oxford and Kings College London.
He was awarded a Post Graduate Certificate in Health Research from the University of Oxford and a Medical Doctorate in Research from Kings College London. Addition to the GMC’s specialist register soon followed.
Mr Qureishi’s current consultancy posts include acting as a regional ENT specialist for, cosmetic, or functional rhinoplasty/septorhinoplasty and nasal surgery. He is a member of the Oxford Skull Base team, operating alongside neurosurgeons.
His ability to care for patients with complex skull base diseases is valuable, as is the range of treatment he offers for ENT conditions.
They includes sinus disease, smell disorders, nasal polyps, neck lumps, hearing loss, or voice problems, issues with swallowing, tinnitus and dizziness. Conditions which have a marked effect on life and deserve exceptional care.
Seeing patients return to health is the driving force behind Mr Qureishi’s dedication, a wish to share skills and knowledge for their benefit.
Research & Teaching
Mr Qureishi’s Fellowship research looked at molecular targets in head and neck cancer. The resulting publication in Clinical Otolaryngology was one of the most read articles of the time, receiving three national prizes.
Many peer reviewed publications have followed and he has co-authored medical books, including the Oxford Handbook of ENT and Head & Neck Surgery.
Mr Qureishi is invited to speak at national and international meetings, including the British Academic Conference in Otolaryngology, Royal Society of Medicine, ENT Masterclass and the European Congress in Head and Neck Oncology.
Along with presenting at the British and International Rhinology Societies, Mr Qureishi has been pleased to speak on the radio as an expert guest. An opportunity to reach a wider audience and share advice on nose, or sinus related problems.
